Greetings from We Care, Inc. 12-28-16

It just occurred to me I haven’t talked about Celebrate Recovery in a long time, the reason, I guess, is because I haven’t been able to attend in a long time.

CR is for anyone with a hurt or hang-up not just for addicts as some people think. If you are depressed, sad, or hurting for any reason CR is for you. It is Christ-based and the nearest thing to a church service you will ever attend.

It is held at First United Methodist Church on Broad Street every Thursday night led by Dr. Hardin Coleman. The meetings have been held in the church Fellowship hall for more than five years. Many souls have gathered there once a week to enjoy the love and friendship and to comfort each other or to just enjoy the meeting. There is a free meal at 5:30 and the meeting starts at 6:15. After the main meeting there are small group meetings for men’s hurts and hang ups and one for women’s hurts and hang ups and a class for children. There is also baby sitting services.

Someone gives a testimony every other week about where they were and where their lives are today. And every other week there is a lesson.

Mike Roney and his Praise band provides the music and there is a lot of singing by those in attendance.

Mark CR on your calendar for next Thursday night.
