Mary Johnson Claytor, age 97, passed away on March 10, 2018.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Claytor is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Claytor, DVM; son-in-law, John Terry Tucker. Mrs. Claytor was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lorenzo and Ruby Matthews Johnson; husband, Col. Roy Frank Claytor, Sr.; son, Roy Frank Claytor, Jr.; and sisters, Elizabeth Haas, Mazie Hereford and Billie Puckett.
Mary attended Auburn University, where she met and married her husband in 1942. He was an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corp and later retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force. While he served in the military, Mary traveled along with him, living in Hawaii, several other stated and in Thailand. Once Roy Frank retired, they moved back to Hollywood, Ala., where they owned and operated the Hollywood Crossroads Store. After 20 years, Mary retired from the store and kept up the family farm and rental properties. She also enjoyed caring for the many hummingbirds, deer and other animals that visited her home.
