Mary Carolyn Allison McMahan, 85 of Stevenson passed away May 11, 2019 at her home.

She was born April 10, 1934 to George Milton and Frances Grider Allison.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Wayne McMahan, Sr.; children, Lynn (Ronald) Maples and William Wayne “Bill” McMahan, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Maples, Bruce (Danielle) Maples, William Wayne “Trae” (Tabatha) McMahan III and Matthew (Brooke) Maples; great-grandchildren, Luke Maples, Blake Maples, Braylynn McMahan, Olivia Maples and Jordan Cooper; sister, Anne Devers; brother, Don (Mary) Allison; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. McMahan was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Frances Grider Allison and Helen St. Clair; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Annetta Allison; brother-in-law, Kenneth Devers.
Mrs. McMahan owned and directed the McMahan Kindergarten for many years. She was later employed by the First United Methodist Church Day Care as a preschool teacher until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stevenson where she taught Sunday School in the Preschool Department since 1974.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Stevenson on May 14, 2019 with Dr. Josh Posey and Rev. Bill Stone officiating. Internment followed at Stevenson City Cemetery.
