Behold The Man!!
There are so many wonderful pictures of Jesus in the Bible. Today I want to reflect on some of my favorite thoughts on the subject.

John the Baptist gave wonderful and eyewitness testimony to the majesty and glory of Jesus in John 1: 29 - 36.
“Behold, The Lamb of God” – John 1:29-32 (KJV) 29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. 30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.” John’s description of Jesus is of a lamb. He is a sacrificial lamb that is offered for our sins, but the lamb was also a lion (of the tribe of Judah – Rev. 5:5). He was courageous! A conqueror! Rev. 5:12 (KJV) “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
“From Rejected To Rejoicing” – friends, when I think of Jesus, here is a man who truly knew what it was to be rejected! He was misunderstood by his own family, cast out by His townspeople, crucified by His nation, and particularly the leaders of the religion in which He was nurtured. He knew what it was like to be on the outside looking in. Yet His rejection was turned to rejoicing. He quoted the words of Psalm 118:22 (KJV) 22 “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner,” and applied them to Himself. Later Peter would quote these same words in Acts 4:11 and relate them to Jesus: “The very stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner…” Jesus, who had been rejected now reigns at the right hand of the Father. From rejection to rejoicing. What we need to see today is that this same Jesus can help us when we feel rejected. Isa. 53 describes Him as despised and rejected. Rejection hurts! We need to see that Jesus can help us deal with rejection today. “My Jesus knows when I am lonely. He knows each pain...He knows just what I need.”
“Jesus, My Lord” (Col. 2:6-7) – Thomas and others made the discovery that He was Lord of all. John 20:28 (KJV) 28 “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. We need to know what “Lordship” demands of a faithful follower.”
O, The Wonder And The Amazement Of This Man Called Jesus! -- Such a lowly, background! He had no earthly things we call great! He wrote no books, but His name has been proclaimed all over the world throughout the centuries!
“Jesus (The Lord) Is My Shepherd” – John 10:14 (KJV) 14 “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.” The Good Shepherd knows His sheep and leads them into safety--green pastures. He leads us through the storms of life and protects us from the “wolves” of destruction.
Do You Know My Jesus? There’s transforming power in knowing Him. Those who meet Him by faith can be transformed into dynamic useful citizens in the Kingdom of God.
