When a person you truly care for dies it seems a piece of you dies too.

I keep wondering how many more pieces I have to spare.  We take too many people for granted while they are living then when they are gone we think of the times we didn’t take the time to pick up the phone and just say, “How are you doing?”  But we didn’t and now we cannot.
Sometimes we don’t realize how much someone meant to you until they are gone and left a hollow place in your heart.  We are so lucky in this life to find at least one person who says, “I got your back,” and truly mean it and you know they mean it.  Too many times we fail to take time to say that to someone though we truly would do anything for them anytime. . . but we never said it.  And we will have a long time to regret it but I think special friends know it anyway whether you say it or not.  And if you are lucky enough to have a friend like that cherish and appreciate them . . . and tell them.
At my age I’m losing a number of people who have meant a lot to me. . . but I never told them.  And it’s time I do.  It’s time you do.  No matter their age, we have people of many ages who have meant so much to us but we have never told them.  It’s time.
Tell them today while you can.
