Jason Hepler has announced his candidacy for Jackson County Sheriff.

Hepler will be on the Republican ticket in the June 5, 2018 Primary.
Hepler joined the Marines shortly after the terror attack of September 11. He served as the Battalion Legal Chief for BSSG-1 at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Hepler then became employed at the Jackson County Jail where he says he learned how a jail should be run, the training that should be provided and what it is like for prisoners in custody there.
Hepler says, “After working at the jail I was offered a position at the Hollywood Police Department and I went to the police academy. After graduating and hitting the road full time I was continuing to work on and completed my bachelors degree in criminal justice administration. In 2010 I was appointed as the Hollywood Police Chief and in 2011 I finished my masters degree in psychology.”
Originally from Indiana, Hepler currently resides in Hollywood with his wife Ashley and their three children, Gage, Noah and Jaylin. Hepler says that they are happy to have made a home here and truly care about the community, for this generation and the next one.
