Currently, the building is leased by Helms at a cost of $350 per month. Helms recently proposed to the County Commission to amend and renew his current lease of the building. Helms’ proposal includes the lease of the entire building and six boat slips. Helms’ proposed converting the office space to a snack bar and expand to a retail space. Helm’s also proposed different arrangements on fuel sales. According to the proposal, Helms would increase rent to $600 per month.
